How to register for the CCA-P.

The CCA-P has no prerequisite courses, exams, or prior experience requirements - the credential is awarded on exam performance alone. Registration is through the Anthropic Partner Network (on the Anthropic Partner Academy) and requires partner-network access; you then schedule your proctored session with Pearson VUE. Review the steps below before you book.

01 · How to register

Step by step

  1. Through the Anthropic Partner Network, open the CCA-P certification page on the Anthropic Partner Academy and review the exam details. Partner-network access is required to register; there are no prerequisite courses or exams to complete first.
  2. Review the official exam guide and terms, then register and complete checkout. The price shown reflects any discount that applies to your partner tier.
  3. Use the confirmation instructions to create a Pearson VUE account.
  4. Schedule your session: online-proctored, or at a Pearson VUE test center.
  5. Sit the 63-question, 120-minute proctored exam.

There are no mandatory prerequisites or required courses for the CCA-P - the credential is awarded on exam performance alone. Anthropic recommends (but does not require) 3+ years of systems architecture or platform engineering experience plus 6+ months hands-on with Claude in production - if that doesn't describe you yet, the CCD-F (Developer) or CCA-A (Associate) credentials may be a better fit to start with.

02 · Cost and validity

What it costs, and how long it lasts

  • $175 USD per attempt (v1.0 exam guide, effective July 2026); the checkout price shown reflects any discount that applies to your partner tier.
  • The exam fee applies to each attempt - retakes are not discounted.
  • Standard certificate validity is 12 months from the award date. Renewal before that window closes is a free, non-proctored assessment on the Anthropic Partner Academy - no fee for on-time renewal.
  • If the credential lapses, you must retake the full exam at the full fee. Major content changes may also force a full retake instead of a renewal assessment.
03 · ID and proctoring rules

What Pearson VUE checks

A valid, unexpired, government-issued photo ID is required; the name on it must match your registration exactly. The session is delivered online-proctored or at a test center, and is effectively closed-book: keep your workspace clear of notes, books, phones, and a secondary monitor. Prohibited items include mobile phones, smart watches, headphones, study materials, and recording devices. Misconduct results in invalidation of your result, revocation of your credential, or a ban from future exams.

04 · Cancel and reschedule

The 24-hour window

You can cancel or reschedule up to 24 hours before your appointment. Changes made within that window, a no-show, or arriving after the permitted late-arrival window all forfeit the exam fee and require re-registration.

05 · Retakes and appeals

If you don't pass the first time

Waiting periods increase with each failed attempt: 14 days after the first, 30 days after the second, 90 days after the third. You can attempt the exam up to 4 times within a rolling 12-month period, and the exam fee applies to each attempt. Appeals go to Pearson VUE within 14 days of notification (or of your exam date for a result concern); the standard-setting outcome and individual item content are not appealable.

06 · Pre-submit checklist

Before you click register

  1. I registered through the Anthropic Partner Academy and will schedule my session with Pearson VUE.
  2. I have a valid, unexpired, government-issued photo ID with a name that matches my registration exactly.
  3. I understand the exam is 120 minutes, 63 questions, 720/1000 to pass, delivered by Pearson VUE.
  4. I have cleared 24+ hours before my slot so a cancel/reschedule (if needed) doesn't forfeit the $175 fee.
  5. I have read the day-of checklist and confirmed my room, ID, and workspace meet the proctoring rules.
07 · FAQ

8 questions answered

How-toHow do I register for the CCA-P exam?
Through the Anthropic Partner Network, go to the CCA-P certification page on the Anthropic Partner Academy (partner-network access is required), review the exam guide and terms, register and complete checkout (the fee reflects your partner-tier discount), then use the confirmation instructions to create a Pearson VUE account and schedule your session - online-proctored or a test center. The CCA-P lists no prerequisite courses or exams to complete first.
ScopeDoes the CCA-P require employer or partner-network approval to register?
Yes - registration is through the Anthropic Partner Network. You register on the Anthropic Partner Academy via an Anthropic partner, so partner-network access is required (there is no public self-signup). There are still no prerequisite courses, exams, or experience - the credential is awarded on exam performance alone - and the checkout fee reflects your partner tier. Scheduling and proctoring are then handled by Pearson VUE.
DefinitionWhat does the CCA-P exam cost?
$175 USD per attempt, per Anthropic's version 1.0 exam guide (effective July 2026). The checkout price shown reflects any discount that applies to your partner tier. The fee applies to each attempt, including retakes.
How-toWhat ID do I need to sit the CCA-P exam?
A valid, unexpired, government-issued photo ID. The name on your ID must match the name on your registration exactly - a mismatch is the most common day-of registration snag across all four Claude certifications.
How-toCan I cancel or reschedule my CCA-P exam?
Yes, up to 24 hours before your appointment. Changes made within that 24-hour window forfeit the exam fee, as does a no-show or arriving after the permitted late-arrival window.
How-toCan I retake the CCA-P exam if I fail?
Yes, after a waiting period that increases with each failed attempt: 14 days after the first fail, 30 days after the second, 90 days after the third. You can attempt the exam up to 4 times within a rolling 12-month period, and the exam fee applies to each attempt.
How-toHow do I renew my CCA-P certification?
Before your 12 months are up, review what has changed since you certified and complete a free, non-proctored assessment on the Anthropic Partner Academy - there is no fee for on-time renewal. If your credential lapses, you must retake the full exam at the full fee.
How-toCan I appeal my CCA-P exam result?
Yes, within 14 days of being notified of a decision, or within 14 days of your exam date for a concern about your result, submitted to Pearson VUE. The standard-setting outcome (the 720 cut score itself) and the content of individual exam items are not subject to appeal.
