What we collect, why, and how to opt out.

Plain-English privacy policy aligned with India DPDP Act + EU GDPR. Decline the consent banner and we collect nothing beyond what your browser sends a server by default.

What we collect

  • Anonymous device id (localStorage) - used to resume in-progress diagnostics without a login.
  • Mock attempt scores + concept mastery - only when you sign in. Tied to your Clerk account; deletable on request.
  • Page views + click events (only with consent) - routed through Google Tag Manager → Google Analytics 4 and Meta Pixel + Conversions API.
  • Referral codes (httpOnly=false cookie at /r/<code> ) - credits the inviter when you sign up; expires in 30 days.

Why we collect it

The single purpose: identify which pages help people pass the CCA-F exam. We measure where you drop off, which scenarios get completed, which concepts get mastered. We do not sell data.

Who we share with

  • Google (Analytics 4 + Search Console) - aggregated page-view metrics, anonymized IPs.
  • Meta / Facebook(Pixel + CAPI) - conversion events (mock_completed, signup_completed). Server-side hashed user data per Meta's privacy spec.
  • Microsoft Bing (Webmaster Tools) - sitemap + URL submission only; no behavioral data.
  • Clerk - auth provider; stores email + sign-in events.
  • Convex- our database; stores everything you've done on the platform while signed in.
  • PostHog - product analytics, behavioral events tied to your anonymous distinct id. Self-hosted-equivalent EU/US deployment.

How to opt out

  • Click “Decline” on the cookie banner. No GTM, no GA4, no Pixel. PostHog still fires for product analytics (anonymous) unless you also opt out via your account page.
  • Delete cookies + localStorage for claudearchitectcertification.com in your browser - resets you to a fresh anonymous device.
  • Account deletion - email ops@claudearchitectcertification.com with your sign-in email; we purge your Clerk + Convex records within 7 days.

Children

The CCA-F exam targets working AI engineers. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 18. If you believe we have, email ops@claudearchitectcertification.com.
